Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Potato Cubes 1 or 2 inches cubes
  • ½ cup Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Paste Freshly Made
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • teaspoon Salt Sprinkle over roasted potatoes
  • teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  • teaspoon Garlic Powder Sprinkle to get a strong garlicky taste

Instructions

Prepare Potatoes

  • Properly peel the potatoes, wash it, and cut them into 2 inches cubes.
  • Dry the potatoes before baking. Place the potatoes over the absorbent paper to make them dry.

Prepare Honey Garlic Sauce

  • In a bowl, add honey and garlic paste and give it a good mix.
  • Pour the sauce over the potatoes and mix it well to evenly coat potatoes.

Set The Baking Tray

  • Place the parchment paper on the baking tray and drizzle oil over it.
  • Place the potatoes on a baking tray.

Baking Potatoes

  • Preheat the oven at 425°F.
  • Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 20 minutes
After 20 minutes as the honey sauce starts to get dry and the potatoes starts to get a golden color, take out the baking tray from the oven and drizzle the oil over it and sprinkle garlic powder.
Again bake it in the oven for 20 minutes to get fully roasted potatoes.
  • After baking season the potatoes with salt and black pepper powder.
  • Roasted potatoes with honey garlic flavor are ready to serve. Enjoy with your favorite dip/sauce.

Notes

  • Cut the potato cube of 1 or 2 inches in size to get crispy texture after roasting.
  • Dip the potatoes in cold water to release excess starch.
  • Drain the water from the potatoes before cooking. Keep it in a strainer to release excess water. I placed the potatoes on absorbent paper to make them dry in texture.
  • Never use salt on raw potatoes as it will release the natural water while cooking.
  • Drizzle oil on a baking dish to cook the potatoes.
  • Always bake the potatoes in a preheated oven.
  • First bake the potatoes with honey garlic sauce, as the sauce starts to get dry during baking. Take the baking tray out from oven and drizzle oil over the potatoes and bake again until the potatoes turn to roasted brown color. This step will make the potatoes more crispy in texture. I adapt this technique and believe me, it works like a magic to make extremely crispy potato cubes.
