Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ tablespoon Chopped Onion
  • 2 Green Chilies chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Coriander chopped
  • 2 pinches Salt (To Taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon Red Chili Powder Substitute: Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Butter To fry Omelette
  • 4 Bread Slices

Instructions

Prepare Eggs For Omelette

  • In a bowl, add eggs, chopped onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, salt, and red chili powder and beat it to make it a fluffy mixture.
  • Heat up the frying pan and add butter in the pan at low heat.
  • Pour ½ of the eggs mixture in heated pan and cook it for about ½ minute on medium heat.
  • Flip and cook from the other side.
  • Take it out! and keep it on a side.

Toast Bread Slices

  • Brush butter in a pan and toast the bread slices from both sides at medium heat.
  • Use a grill pan to get marks on the toast. (optional)

Layer to Make Sandwich

  • Cut the omelette into pieces and layer it properly on bread slice to make a sandwich. Cover with other bread slice.

Refrying

  • Now dip the sandwich into the remaining egg mixture.
  • Brush the pan with butter and fry the sandwich again to give it a sharp toasted color and visible grilled marks from both sides.
  • Omelette sandwich is ready! Serve the sandwich with hot coffee or tea.

  • Season the omelette with spices of your choice.
  • Only salt and pepper will work in this recipe. 
  • To make it more nutritious, add veggies of your choice. 
  • Never cook the omelette and bread slices at high heat. 
  • You can make the sandwich crispy or soft as per your taste. 
  • If you want to make it crispy for long time then don't cover it right after cooking. 
  • To add a cheesy flavor, add cheese while layering omelette. 
  • Grilled pan used in this recipe is only to give nice marks on toast. You can also make it in a regular pan.
