Ingredients

  • 1 cup Boiled Chickpeas
  • ½ cup Cucumber diced
  • ½ cup Boiled Potatoes diced
  • cup Tomato Cubes diced
  • cup Onion Chopped
  • Yogurt Salad Dressing:
  • 2 tablespoon Yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Green Chilies Chopped

Instructions

  • Boil chickpeas or use canned chickpeas.
  • Cut the cucumber into small cubes.
  • Boil Potatoes.
  • Chop onions.
  • Chop green chilies.
  • Cut tomatoes into small cubes. Make sure to use tomatoes without skin.

Yogurt Salad Dressing

  • Add yogurt to a bowl.
  • Season with salt, red chilies, and black pepper.
  • Now add chopped green chilies.
  • Mix well to make a smooth sauce.

Assembling

  • Now in a big bowl, add chickpeas, potatoes, cucumber, tomatoes, and onion.
  • Pour salad dressing.
  • Mix well.

Notes

  1. If you are making chickpeas at home then make sure to make it soft and tender as the hard may cause stomach pain.
  2. You can add different vegetables as per your availability. Make sure the veg cutting should be uniform to make it presentable. Check the Variations tab to get more ideas to add to this salad.  
  3. Using greek yogurt to make this salad. Thick yogurt will give you a good result. It will add creamy and consistent salad dressing.
  4. Yogurt should be thick and smooth in texture. It should not release water. 
  5. Fresh salad is good for health. Don't refrigerate for a long time.
  6. Use fresh vegetables.
