Ingredients

  • Tamarind Imli – ½ Cup (املی)
  • Salt – ⅓ Tsp نمک
  • Black salt Kala namak – 1 Pinch (کالا نمک)
  • Sugar china or Jaggery (gud) – 1.5 teaspoon (چینی | گڑ)
  • Dry Ginger powder saunth – 2 Pinches (ادرک پاؤڈر)
  • Sesame – ½ Tsp تل (optional)

Instructions

  • Soak the tamarind in lukewarm water for 1 hour.
  • After 1 hour, strain the water and remove the tamarind seeds.
  • Now in a blender, add tamarind.
  • Season with salt, sugar or jaggery and red pepper.
  • Blend well by adding little water to make a thick paste.
  • Sprinkle ginger powder, black salt and sesame seeds.
  • Imli ki meethi chutney ready to serve!
