  • Ingredients
  • Egg White – 2
  • Powder Sugar – ½ Cup
  • Milk – 50 ml
  • Egg Yolks -2
  • All-Purpose Flour – 1 Cup
  • Cocoa Powder – 1 Tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence – ⅓ Tsp
  • Baking Powder – ½ Tsp
  • Baking Soda – ⅓ Tsp
  • Salt – 2 Pinches
  • Oil – ½ Cup
  • Red Food Color – ⅓ Tsp
  • Prepare Strawberry Topping:
  • Water: 100 ml
  • Strawberry Paste: 1 Cup
  • Corn Flour: 1 Tbsp
  • Powder Sugar: 1 Tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence: ⅓ Tsp


  • Method:
  • Preparation of Red Velvet Cake: In a bowl, add egg whites and sieve powder sugar and beat well using the hand blender until the fluffy mixture formed.
  • Then add egg yolks and milk and blend again.
  • Next, Sieve All-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla essence and mix all the ingredients together.
  • Add red food colour and blend using a hand blender for ½ minute in a clockwise direction.
  • Set the cake mould. Brush oil in mould and place butter paper.
  • Preheat the pan on the stove.
  • Place cooking pan on stove and place stand inside the pan.
  • Add little water to create moisture in the pan.
  • Cover and preheat for 7 minutes.
  • Pour the red velvet cake mix in the mould.
  • Place mould in preheated pan.
  • Cover and cook for about 35 minutes on low heat.
  • After 30 to 35 minutes check cake using a knife/skewer.
  • If the knife is clean remove cake mould from pan and cools it down.
  • Remove pan from the mould.
  • Prepare Strawberry Sauce for Topping: In a pan, add water and bring it to boil.
  • Add powder sugar and mix well.
  • Take fresh strawberries and blend using little water.
  • Pour strawberry paste in the pan and mix well.
  • Add cornflour in a pan and stir continuously to make think paste.
  • Pour the strawberry paste on the cake and set it to cover the whole cake.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set the topping.
  • Cut it into slices and decorate cake according to your choice.
