  • Ingredients:
  • Flour – 2.5 Cups
  • Salt – To Taste
  • Oil/Ghee/Butter – 1 Tbsp
  • Water to knead the dough
  • Butter for Frying
  • Cheddar Cheese for Stuffing
  • Olives optional

Instructions

  • Method:
  • Preparation of Paratha Dough
  • Take a bowl, add flour, salt, and oil and mix all the ingredients properly through spoon or hands.
  • Slowly add water(room temperature) and make a soft dough.
  • Cover it and keep it in a warm place for about 45 mins (minimum time).
  • After 45 minutes, uncover and knead the flour again and now it’s ready to roll paratha.
  • Paratha Making
  • Distribute the dough to make parathas. Cut into small parts and make a small ball through hands.
  • Dust the ball on flour and flat it through hands.
  • Now make a medium size roti using a rolling pin.
  • Place butter on it and fold the paratha in fan style.
  • Again stretch to a long way and roll the paratha to form a spiral.
  • Now flat the spiral form through hands and roll the paratha again to form a big roti.
  • Try to make it thin for a quality result.
  • Cheese Stuffing on Paratha
  • In this step simply place the grated cheese on paratha.
  • You can use any type of cheese but cheddar and mozzarella are the recommend cheese type.
  • You can also take the combination of cheddar and mozzarella.
  • To make it more tempting and healthy, place olives over the cheese.
  • Place cheese on one side of paratha.
  • Now fold the other side of paratha and sealed the edges using water.
  • To make the paratha secure, try to seal the edges using the fork.
  • I placed the fork to create marks on the edges. This step not only secures the paratha but also make it more tempting.
  • Fry the Paratha
  • Gently place the paratha on the pre-heated skillet (tawa).
  • Apply butter on both sides of paratha.
  • Fry both the sides and take it out on a platter.
  • Cut the Paratha from middle to make it easy to eat.
  • Now cheese paratha is ready to eat.
