In a bowl, add paprika, coriander powder, garam masala, garlic powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt.
Mix well to combine the spices.
Sprinkle the sesaoining spices over chicken. Rub the spices with hand to give it a good coat.
In the meanwhile, soak the rice for 30 minutes.
Now in a heated pan, pour oil and fry the chicken pieces until turned to golden in color.
As the chicken turned to golden, take it out!.
In same oil, add grated garlic and saute for few seconds.
Add turmeric powder and give it a quick stir.
Now add soaked rice and mix well in pan.
Add 2 cups of water and gently mix well.
Add the fried chicken at the top of rice.
Now cook and cover the rice for 20 minutes. Initially cook on high heat for 5 to 6 minutes. Then turn the heat to medium/low to cook the rest of the rice on steam.
After 20 minutes, the rice will be ready to serve!
