Ingredients

  • 11 g Instant Yeast
  • 100 ml Water
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 3 cups All purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 10 Onion Rings
  • 1 tablespoon Capsicum
  • 1 Cup Chicken Tikka Chunks
  • Mozerella Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • 1 Egg wash

Instructions

Prepare Pizza Dough

  • In a deep bowl, combine instant yeast, lukewarm water, and sugar. Mix well and cover the bowl.
  • Let it sit for 10 minutes until the yeast becomes foamy and bubbly.
  • Add all-purpose flour, salt, yogurt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture.
  • Crumble and knead everything together to form a soft, pliable dough. (If the dough feels dry, add a little water.)Cover the dough and let it rest for 2 hours in a warm place for proper proofing. It should double or triple in size.

Shape the Pizza

  • After resting, knead the dough again and divide it into 2 portions. Use one portion to make the pizza, and save the other for another pizza.
  • Sprinkle some flour on your surface and roll or stretch the dough into a large circular flatbread using your hands.
  • Transfer the dough onto a pizza tray lined with aluminum foil and lightly brushed with oil.
  • Spread the edges evenly and fold the edges slightly to form the crust. You can define the pizza crust thickness as per your choice.
  • Now the pizza crust is ready to apply toppings!

Prepare Pizza Masala Sauce

  • You have 2 options: Use the store bought tikka masala sauce or make it yourself. Here are the steps to make the sauce at home.
  • In a pan, pour oil and heat it up, add freshly made ginger garlic paste and finely chopped onion saute for a minute on high heat.
  • Add tikka masala spice mix. If you don't have spice mix, then simply add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala.
  • Give it a good mix to make a smooth sauce. Use a splash of water to make the thick saucy texture.
  • Cook the sauce for about 1 or 2 minute.Add tomato ketchup and sprinkle oregano and give it a good mix.
  • Cover the sauce pan, and simmer it for 2 minutes to infused the aroma of spices.
  • Now the sauce is ready to spread on pizza base.

Tips To Follow For Best Pizza
  • Use good-quality instant yeast – it’s key to a soft, fluffy pizza crust. Test it by dissolving in lukewarm water with sugar. If it becomes foamy and bubbly in 10 minutes, it’s ready.
  • Don’t skip sugar – it helps activate the yeast and speeds up the fermentation process.
  • Knead the dough properly for a smooth, elastic texture. Beginners can also use ready-made pizza dough.
  • Brush oil on the pizza base – this helps create a toasted, flavorful crust.
  • Toppings – add as per your preference and availability.
  • Cheese combination – mozzarella and cheddar work best for gooey cheese pulls.
  • Pizza sauce – use a thick sauce; watery sauce can make the pizza soggy.
  • Chaat masala – adds an authentic desi flavor. Don’t skip it!
  • Egg wash – brushing on the crust edges gives a golden, glossy finish. Milk can be used as an alternative.
  • Baking time – monitor your oven. Typically, 12–15 minutes at 220°C (428°F) works well.
