Ingredients:
Mutton - 500 gms
Ginger Garlic Onion Paste - 3 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
Salt - ⅓ Tsp
Beaten Yoghurt - ½ Cup
Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp
Black Pepper Powder - ⅓ Tsp
Tomato cubes - ½ cup
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Cumin seeds - ⅓ Tsp
Green Cardamom - 4
Green Chillies - 4
Ginger Julienne for garnish
Method
- In a pan, add mutton, ginger garlic and onion paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and beaten yoghurt.
- Mix all the ingredients.
- Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 45 minutes. (Check water level, if it's dry then add little water to tender the meat)
- After 45 minutes, check the mutton and make it dry if there is some water.
- In a skillet / tawa, pour oil and heat it up.
- Add cumin seeds and green cardamom in heated oil and as it starts popping up
- Next, add tomato cubes and stir to blend the tomatoes on medium heat.
- Add mutton masala and mix well with tomatoes.
- Also, add Garam masala powder and black pepper powder and stir to fry the mutton for a few minutes.
- Garnish the mutton with green chillies and ginger julienne.
Now tawa mutton fry is ready!!
