    Healthy Baked Chicken Breast Recipe

    Whenever I make oven-baked chicken breast, it becomes irresistible for my family and kids to have it sooner due to the tempting aroma spreading to the whole house. So far, It’s a family favorite recipe and easy for me to quickly bake boneless chicken breast just by seasoning few ingredients with a generous drizzle of olive oil. It’s healthy and nutritious and full of multivitamins. It's best if you are seeking weight loss ideas.

    When it comes to shop chicken, I always prefer to have lean chicken breast without skin and bones.

    Do you know, why? because the chicken breast can be cooked in a variety of ways by adding different flavors of seasoning by adapting modern cooking methods. My goal is to make it quick and healthy with multi-purpose ideas to use the leftover.

    My healthy baked chicken breast recipe is full of protein, so the best idea to serve at dinner. Sometimes, I starve after a workout so take it by pairing it up with fresh veggies and yogurt.

    What's Special?

    It’s simple and quick. Easy to bake with minimal ingredients! And the end result gives, soft, moist, tender, and juicy oven baked boneless chicken breast that is much easier to eat.

    Many of my friends ask me how to make juicy chicken breast in the oven as sometimes it becomes dried out and seems more like chewing rubber so need to pour sauces to balance the flavor.

    Here in this recipe, I will share key points that will help to make moist, juicy, and tender chicken in the oven. It will surely not dry out and give you the same flavor as you eat in restaurants.

    Soft, moist, juicy, and perfectly baked tender chicken breast can make your dinner time perfect and memorable.

    Breast Seasoning

    Seasoning ingredients are the king of this recipe as it will make all the difference to add flavor to a lean chicken breast.

    You don't need many ingredients to make this chicken seasoning. Just a few ingredients from the pantry will make the unique taste of chicken breast.

    So you need, brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and ground rosemary to make seasoning and perfectly coat chicken with olive oil.

    Secret Ingredient of Juicy Chicken

    You must be wondering, why did I add brown sugar?

    Well, it's for tendering the chicken while baking. The caramelization process of brown sugar will make the chicken tender and juicy from the inside. It will not add sweetness but will give a unique taste that you love with a savory touch. So I might call it the secret ingredient of this recipe.

    Here, I'd like to share my 'Honey garlic chicken' which is sweet and sour in taste.

    How to Season the Chicken

    Combine all the ingredients with the mentioned quantity defined in the recipe card and coat on chicken breast from both sides. Make sure to drizzle olive oil to help the coating to look smooth and lustrous.

    How to Bake Juicy Chicken Breast

    For baking, you just need to marinate the chicken with seasoning and olive oil. Set it on the baking tray. Now it's all set to go in the oven.

    Preheat the oven at 220°C / 428°F

    How Long to Bake Chicken in Oven

    This is very important to understand the time of baking chicken. If the chicken will cook at the right temperature at a specific time then you will get juicy, soft, and tender chicken otherwise the chicken will be hard and taste like rubber.

    If the chicken breast is nicely sliced with a thin layer then it will bake within 15 to 20 minutes. Thick breasts will take more baking time. It will be around 25 to 30 minutes.

    If you have thick breasts then you can hammer it before adding seasoning in this way the baking time will reduce and the chicken will be soft and juicy.

    Initially chicken will release natural water while baking so let it bake with the water it will help to cook chicken from inside. Before taking it out, check the chicken if it's showing a wet look then you can turn on the broiler and cook it for about 5 minutes to give it a signature brown color from the top. In this way, it will be perfectly caramelized and brown like a bbq chicken.

    Easy Tips

    1. To get rid of dry chicken: Brine the chicken in salt water for about 15 to 20 minutes. In this way, the chicken will soft, moist, and tender while eating.
    2. Don't cover the chicken in this recipe to get crispy brown caramelized breasts.
    3. Place foil at the baking dish. It will help to cook chicken without sticking to the bottom.
    4. Make sure to preheat the oven before 10 minutes of baking.
    5. If you have thick breasts or big in size then slice it and slightly hammer to get moist chicken.
    6. If you feel the chicken is getting dry while cooking then spray the stock or water on the chicken.
    7. Make sure to use skinless chicken breast for this recipe.

    Serving Idea

    You can serve this chicken with plenty of options to serve as the main course or as a side with different combinations of dishes. Chicken breast recipes are popular and people make in different ways according to their taste buds.

    I'd like to serve with butter garlic rice or simple steamed basmati rice. If you are serving with dinner rolls then mayo sauce and oven baked french fries are the best to make a complete meal.

    In a separate serving, it's best to serve with Roasted Carrots, Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes, Honey Garlic Sauce, and Coleslaw.

    Store & Reheat

    You can pack the baked chicken in an airtight container and place it in the freezer for 01 month. Don't slice it if you are intended to freeze.

    Reheat Option 1: When you need it, take it out. Brush with olive oil or splash with chicken stock or water and microwave it for 4 minutes and it will be ready like fresh.

    Reheat Option 2: If you want you can bake again for about 4 to 5 minutes in preheated oven and 1 minute for the broiler to get a crispy brown texture. Drizzle or brush olive oil/butter if the chicken seems dry.

    How to Use the Leftover

    You can use the leftover chicken breast in a variety of ways. I personally use to make pizza topping, sandwiches, and stuffing. I love to use the leftover in making chicken fried rice.

    Easiest chicken breast recipe that will quickly bake just by adding handful ingredients from pantry. Extremely soft, tender, and moist while eating. Preferred dinner idea for busy people.

    Ingredients

    • 500 g Chicken breast
    • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Paprika
    • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
    • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
    • ½ teaspoon Salt
    • ½ teaspoon Rosemary
    • 1.5 tablespoon Olive Oil
    • Parsley - For Garnish

    Instructions

    • Prepare Chicken Seasoning: In a bowl, add brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and rosemary.
    • Mix well to make a smooth seasoning.
    • Set the Baking Dish: Place foil in baking pan and drizzle olive oil.
    • Place chicken in baking dish.
    • Marinate Chicken: Sprinkle seasoning powder over the chicken breast to coat it well.
    • Flip the chicken.
    • Now sprinkle the rest of the seasoning powder over the chicken.
    • Coat well using a hand or spoon.
    • Preheat the oven at 220°C / 428°F
    • Bake Chicken: Now place the baking dish in the oven.
    • Cook for about 20 minutes.
    • Turn on the boiler and let it bake for 5 minutes from the top to get crispy brown texture.
