How to Cook Chicken White Karahi at Home

Recipe Language: Urdu/Hindi
Ingredients:
Chicken - ½ KG
Onion - 1 Big (Roughly Cut)
Garlic - ⅚ cloves
Ginger - 3 inches piece
Green chilies: 7-8
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
Black pepper - 10-12
Cloves: 5-6
Cumin - 1 Tsp
Salt: To taste
Black pepper powder - 1 Tsp
Cumin powder - 1 Tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 Tsp
Yogurt - 1 Cup
Tomatoes - 1 (Chopped)
Cream - ¼ Cup (To taste)
Butter - 1 Heap spoon
Method:
- Make a fine paste of onion, garlic, ginger and green chilies in a blender by adding 100 ml of water.
- Now heat up the pan and add oil.
- Add cumin seeds and whole garam masala in oil.
- As the garam masala starts frying add onion, garlic, ginger and green chili paste in the pan and keep the temperature high.
- Keep stirring until the water evaporates and oil comes over the surface.
- Now add chopped tomatoes.
- Add chicken and fry it until chicken changes its color.
- Now add 1 cup of yogurt and keep stirring until the yogurt blended into the gravy.
- Add Zeera powder, black pepper and garam masala powder in curry.
- Mix it well.
- Add 300 ml of water and cover it for about 20-25 minutes.
- As the chicken becomes tender and oil comes over the pan. Remove the pan from flame and dish it out.
