    What is Haleem Biryani - How to Make and Serve it

    Many people are asking what is Haleem Biryani?. Is it two different dishes or a fusion of Haleem or biryani? If you belong to Pakistan and India then you must know about these two popular dishes that people love to eat at every nook an corner of South Asia.

    What is Haleem biryani - Is it Fusion?

    Basically, Haleem and Biryani are two different dishes.  It's not a fusion dish. Both are different recipes and absolutely different ways of making. Biryani made with rice and meat korma while the haleem is the form of lentil and meat paste or mixture. It's a stew type dish. So these two are different in texture and presentation so it can't be the one dish.

    What is Haleem?

    Haleem (Daleem) is made by combining crushed meat curry and blended lentils to form a thick paste. It's a stew type dish of the mid/dle eastern region and south Asia.

    How to Eat Haleem?

    Haleem can be served with golden brown onion, freshly chopped coriander and mint leaves, lemon juice, Julianne ginger and sliced green chilies. In some regions of Pakistan, Haleem is eaten with tandoori naan otherwise people love to eat it hot with a spoon.

    Is Haleem a Sweet Dish?

    Haleem is salty and sour in taste. It's a salty dish but few areas in Hyderabad make sweet haleem by adding little sugar. (a form of Harees; Arabic dish). It's a festive dish that people love to eat on special occasions and distribute to nearby people and relatives.

    Muslims makes it during the month of Muharram, Eid and Ramzan. Haleem is the most popular dish of Muslim community.

    Can we store Haleem in the fridge?

    Yes, you can. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days in an airtight container. In freezer, you can store it for 15 days. Make sure to store it in an airtight container. 

    What is Biryani?

    Biryani is the fusion of meat curry and rice. It is the most popular dish in the South Asian region. Biryani rice and meat curry cooked on steam that makes a perfect taste and aroma.
