    Crustless Spinach Quiche

If you are looking to make a quick and easy way to make a delicious quiche recipe then try this crustless fresh spinach quiche with cheddar cheese. I love quiches so I don't want to make any experiment that can change my taste. It's a complete meal recipe that includes egg, veggie, and cheese so I mostly make it for breakfast as it's super quick and easy. People looking for gluten-free options can also try this by making some variations according to their tastes and requirements. Keto foodies can also try this with some variations.

    My Experience...

My son is so picky in eating egg-related dishes so when I bake this he was curious to eat and believe me he ate the complete slice that I can't believe. This is also the reason to make this recipe every weekend. So if you have picky kids at home then try this and I am sure they will love it.

Why Do I Love This Recipe?

There are many reasons to try this recipe as it's extremely easy to make. You can quickly prepare it as it's crustless so you don't need to make a classical crust for it. It has a perfect quiche texture and absolutely scrumptious and tasty. You can add some more variations according to your preferred choices like adding more veggies, roasted chicken, or a different combination of cheese like feta or parmesan. It's low carb recipe so perfect for diet-conscious foodies. You can try it with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For me, it's best as it's a family-friendly recipe as my whole family loves it.

How to Make Crustless Spinach Quiche

It's easy to make spinach quiche without the crust. Here is the step-by-step method that you can follow or it's better to watch the recipe video to follow the quick steps of making. First, I saute the onion and squeeze spinach in olive oil for 5 minutes. Season with salt, paper, and garlic powder then put it on the side to cool down. Then prepared egg batter. In a bowl, add eggs and milk. Season with salt and paper and give it a good whisk to blend the mixture in one tone. Added cheese and sauteed spinach mix and give it a good mix. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake it in a preheated oven at 250 degrees centigrade for 30 minutes. Then it will be ready and sliced to have.

    Easy Tips

Here are some of my best practices to prepare the perfect quiche that might help you in your kitchen.

    1. Make sure to squeeze the spinach Water as much as you can. As it could be the main reason for watery quiche. Frozen and fresh both need to be properly squeezed.
    2. Don't add much oil during saute onion and spinach.
    3. Make sure to properly beat the egg and milk.
    4. Preheat the oven before 10 minutes of baking.
    5. Properly grease the baking dish if it's not a glass material.
    6. Bake for 30 minutes.
    7. Monitor the baking status during the time.
    8. Don't take it out of the quiche immediately right after baking.
    9. Give it 5 minutes to get settled with the atmosphere temperature.

    Store And Reheat

Yes, you can store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3 days. Try to consume it as soon as possible as storing it for a longer period might activate bacteria in eggs. If you want to store it for a long time then it's better to store it in the freezer. In this way, it will last for 5 to 6 days.

To reheat the quiche, microwave it for 2 minutes and then take it to the preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes. It will be ready like a fresh quiche.

If you have a party at your house then you can prepare a day before and just reheat before serving.

It's a low-carb and healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipe for foodies to make at home. Crustless spinach pie has a perfect crust on the bottom while baking. I simply love this recipe.

    Serving Idea

There are plenty of options that go best with spinach quiche. If you are serving breakfast then go with toasted bread, hash browns, roasted veggies, or simply with fruit salad with a glass of milk, juice, or hot cappuccino. I prefer it to serve hot as it tastes so good.

If you are serving lunch or dinner then the best option is to place some oven baked fries, roasted Carrots, Baked chicken breast, dinner rolls, and mashed potatoes to make a perfect combination.

    Q & A

Can I Use Fresh Spinach Instead of Frozen?

Well, you can use fresh, frozen, and thawed spinach as per your availability. Many people make it with frozen spinach and I made it fresh spinach. Whatever the spinach are you using make sure to squeeze and release water. If you are using frozen then defrost it and make sure to squeeze before sauteing. In the same way, fresh spinach needs to be cut into ribbons and then wash. You can squeeze it as much as you can to release water as the fresh spinach contains more water as compared to frozen.
Regarding taste, I feel fresh spinach is more tasty, moist, and chewy as compared to frozen.

Why does the Quiche get Watery?

Yes, it gets watery because of an imbalance of temperature during baking. If you are adding milk with eggs and not baking at the right temperature then it will be runny in texture. Make sure to beat properly if you are adding dairy to eggs. In this way, all the ingredients will be properly blended to make the perfect quiche texture. If you are experiencing runny quiche then place the quiche dish in a hot boiling water pan and bake it again. In this way, you can fix the watery or runny quiche problem.
In another case, if your crustless quiche is getting soggy from the bottom after cooking then keep it on a medium heated frying pan for 3 to 4 minutes without covering. In this way, you can get rid of soggy quiche issues.

How Is It Different From Frittata?

Many people related the crustless quiche recipe to the frittata. Yes, it's more or less the same in terms of taste and presentation. But it is directly baked in the oven while the frittata cook on the stove first then baked.

    Is quiche healthy?

Yes, it's healthy as it's low carb. With the addition of crust more calories and carbohydrates are added to this recipe so crustless quiche is the healthy option to try. The protein of eggs, multivitamins in spinach, and dairy enzymes in cheese make it perfect for a healthy meal. You can make it more healthy by adding olive oil, low-fat milk and cheese also add more veggies.
