Ingredients
Egg Whites – Used premium quality medium size (63gm) egg white. It’s low in cholesterol and saturated fats.
Olive oil – I used extra virgin olive oil as it’s good for health and keeps the calorie content on the low side. I don’t prefer butter otherwise it’s better to make scrambled with the whole egg.
Grated Garlic – sauteed garlic will enhance the raw taste of egg whites with a strong garlicky aroma. If you don’t like then skip this step.
Herbs – Italian seasoning with dried oregano, rosemary, and thyme will enhance the taste and aroma. I used all three but you can make variations as per your taste.
Milk - Used to process the scrambling effect. It will help to create soft and fluffy egg whites.
Salt & Peppers – I love to sprinkle black pepper as it’s anti-cholesterol and goes well with eggs. To make it spicy, chili flakes or green chilies can be used!
Parsley – Used for garnish. It will improve the presentation and the egg whites will not be looking pale as the green will add vibrance and make it more tempting.
How to Make Scrambled Egg Whites
Separate egg whites from egg yolk. I prepared sandwiches for kids with egg yolk so don't waste them. Beat the egg yolk with the whisk to make a fluffy texture. Sprinkle salt! In a heated nonstick pan, pour olive oil. Saute grated garlic for a few seconds until it becomes aromatic or starts to change color. Now sprinkle pinches of dried oregano and rosemary. Pour the heated egg whites into the pan. Make sure the heat is low. Add milk to make soft and creamy scrambled eggs. Continuous stir the egg clock or antilock wise to prepare soft and fluffy scrambled eggs. Sprinkle salt and black pepper. Garnish with parsley. Serve with toast, paratha, tortilla, dinner rolls.
