Ingredients
Grated Potatoes (Non-Starchy) - 2
Chilled water - 400 ml
Salt - to taste
Black Pepper - ⅓ Tsp
Garlic - 1 Clove (Grated)
Corn Flour - 1.5 Tbsp
Oil - For Frying
Method:
- In a bowl, add chilled water.
- Peel the non-starchy potatoes.
- Grate potatoes and dip into chilled water for 2 minutes.
- Drain excess water from potatoes.
- Squeeze potatoes and make it dry.
- Add salt, black pepper & corn flour.
- Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Place potatoes on a try or container to bind together.
- Refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Take out and cut into slices.
- Heat up oil for frying.
- Place "Hash Browns" in oil one by one for frying.
- Take out as it gets a golden brown colour from both sides.
- Serve with ketchup or mayonnaise.
