I taste this recipe at my friend's house and never thought it was made with semolina (Rava). It has some special crunch and crispiness that compel to eat. So I asked the recipe and tried at home. Everybody loved it especially my son. Here I am sharing this for my loving readers to try at home.

If you feel stickiness or having hard time to shape the fingers then you can add a little amount of cornflour to adjust the shape. If you will use proper ingredients then it will not required to add cornflour. Potato and Rava make a perfect combination to create a unique taste so I prefer to make it using these two major ingredients to make this finger. Here are some tips that you can follow to prepare perfect rava fingers.
- Properly follow the quantity of the ingredient to make a perfect potato rava mixture.
- Make sure the semolina (rava) during cooking is perfectly thick.
- Rub some water or oil on your hands before making fingers. This step will give you smooth texture.
- If you feel the mixture is getting sticky and hard to make finger shape then add cornflour to adjust the shape.
- Initially, deep fry on high heat then turns the heat to medium to get crispy and crunchy texture of rava fingers.
Can I Store Rava Fingers?
Yes, you can store the Rava fingers before frying in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days in the freezer. Just coat the fingers in all-purpose flour and place it in a container and keep it in your freezer. Take out an hour before when you want to fry or keep in the microwave to defrost before frying.

Rava Fingers Recipe Card
Ingredients:
- Water - 150 ml
- Salt - ½ Tsp
- Semolina - ½ Cup
- Boiled Potato - 1
- Salt - ⅓ Tsp
- Red Chili Powder - ½ Tsp
- Chaat Masala - ½ Tsp
- Fresh Coriander (Chopped) - 1 Tsp
- Green Chilies (Chopped) - 1
- All-Purpose Flour (Maida) - ½ Cup
- Black Pepper - ½ Tsp
- Salt - 2 Pinches
- Oil - For frying
Method
- In a cooking pan, add water (150 ml) and salt (½ Tsp). Mix well and heat up the water.
- Now in a heating pan, add ½ cup of semolina (Rava/Suji)
- Stir well and cook on medium temperature until it turned to a thick paste.
- As the semolina started to get thick, mix well otherwise it will stick the pan bottom.
- Now keep it on the side to reach on normal temperature.
- In the meanwhile, in a separate pan, add boiled potato.
- Sprinkle salt, red chili powder, chaat masala and mash the potato.
- Now mix semolina (Rava) paste.
- Also, add fresh coriander and green chilies.
- Mix well.
- Now start to make fingers.
- Rub your hands with oil or water.

- Prepare all Rava fingers.
- In a platter, add All purpose flour (Maida).
- Season with salt and black pepper and mix well.
- Now coat all the finger one by one.
